How your support is helping Action for Children change young lives.
Action for Children is the UK's leading provider of services for young people leaving care. We help keep vulnerable young people off the streets by supporting them as they learn to live on their own. We help them to find and keep accommodation, develop vital independence skills and give them access to employment and training opportunities. Our youth projects also provide housing or help young people to find it, as well as help them to cope with living independently.
This is what the money you raise could be doing:
- £40 could pay for a one-to-one counselling session with a young person
- £100 could help to train and support a volunteer mentor for up to a month
- £400 could purchase video equipment for group work
- £800 could pay for two young people to participate in an eight-week volunteering programme
- £2000 could pay for up to seven days professional training for 10 young people
