I got involved with Byte Night simply because it's a great way to support a very worthy initiative. Having slept out for the first time last year I got to see first hand how a couple of hundred people can make a huge difference and will happily repeat the experience again this year. =======    Text 100

I've been sleeping out for the last five years and I'm totally committed to NCH.The reason is simple, as a single parent family I know from personal experience howhard it is to hold a family together, particularly with children. So I believe that there but for the grace of God go all of us and anything I can do to support homeless and abused young people is my way of showing I care.

When you look outside the comfortable world of IT, you realise what a cosseted environment we live in. I feel it's time to give something back to those that need it more than we/I do. Working with NCH/Byte Night really opens your eyes up to just how lucky many of us are. We can walk away at the end of the night and go home - hundreds of others can't - they don't have homes.

Good corporate citizenship is inseparable from good business and is an ethos that should pervade everything that we do as business leaders and personal individuals. As a father of 4 children, providing support, care, guidance is part of my everyday routine... NCH provide all of this and more. This is why Byte Night the IT industry's annual sleep-out in support of young people who are homeless or coping with life after foster or residential care is so important.
