On the longest day of the year, Byte Night held its first summer party at The Vintry in London.
Ken Deeks, the founder of Byte Night, volunteered his son's band, The Tuesday Edition, to play along with some other great entertainment including DJ Chris Pardoe and Stacey Reid, an amazing singer, all of whom kindly did it for charity.
People arrived, food was eaten, drinks flowed and then shoes hit the dance floor. Of course, it wouldn't have been the same without Jen and Maisie from Action for Children, who arrived early and stayed late to make sure everything ran smoothly. Thanks also goes to Creative Tree who designed the invites and HP for printing them - both companies did this free of charge.
A good night was had by all. Some went home happy raffle prize winners, with one lucky person winning a rugby ball signed by the English rugby team. Another picked up £100 after winning a monster game of heads and tails. Everyone one else rolled home grateful to have a bed to fall into after dancing the night away, no doubt reminded why we wanted to raise money in the first place.
