Fundraising guide

  1. Set up your JustGiving Page if you haven’t already.
  2. Once registered on JustGiving, update your picture, team members and add a story to your page. Content for your page, including a blurb, can be found here.
  3. Order your fundraising materials (t-shirts, poly boxes, buckets, balloons and stickers) from the Byte Night team by filling in a materials request form. Please note that materials can take up to 5 working days to arrive. Once you receive your fundraising bucket position it in your office reception – you’ll be surprised just how quickly the pennies will add up!
  4. Explore our fundraising ideas to gain inspiration for what you and your team can organise. We have a number of ideas from classic bake sales to dress down days, activities that anyone can get involved with regardless of age or ability!
  5. Download our Empty Belly Poster to promote your event. This is a great resource to use so that people in the office know what you are up to and how they can get involved with supporting you in reaching your fundraising target.
  6. Download our Byte Night banner to put in your signature alongside your JustGiving URL. Every time you email someone, they will know that you are taking part in the event and be able to click through to donate to your fundraising total.
  7. Get sharing on social media such as Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn, using our #ByteNight hashtag to let people know you are taking part and how they can support by donating to your target. Not only is social media easy to use, but it is great for getting your message out to a large audience.
  8. Don’t be afraid to ask for sponsorship in person – carry our fundraising form and take it wherever you go.
  9. Find out how to pay in your offline funds on our JustGiving support page.
  10. Watch and share this video to see where the money you have fundraised goes and how it changes lives.
